Christianity, quote of the day by Sam Pascoe

I heard a quote this morning and it made me think. I thought I would share it with you.
This quote was quoted by Pricilla Schrier, it is originally by Sam Pascoe.
“Christianity started out in Palestine as a fellowship (a relationship), then it moved to Greece and became a philosophy (a way you think), then it moved to Rome and became an institution ( a place you go), then it moved to Europe and became a culture ( a way of life), then it moved to the rest of the world and it became an enterprise (a business).”
Has Christianity become just what you do… What is true for you?
What if we took Christianity back to what it was meant to be?

Christ dying for us was never meant to make those who have accepted Him superior over those who have not. God gives equal opportunity to all, Jesus died for all! I don’t want my Christianity to be just what I do, I want it to be what God intended it to be from the beginning, a close intimate relationship with Him.
We can be as close to God as we want to be, Gods word says, if you draw close to God He will draw close to you. Close relationships are cultivated, there is a willingness on both parties to be engaged consistently with one another to build that close relationship. God is always there ready, willing and able, He is waiting for you. This was food for thought for me today and I hope it is for you too…
